Adventures Part Two – Te Anau

Second part of the road trip in Te Anau. Great weather to really compliment the stunning scenery. We took a trip into the Doubtful Sound with Go Orange, which was excellent. At one point the tour guides got super excited when we came across a Hump back whale, which is apparently very rare! You know when the tour guides get excited that something awesome must be happening! Then on to the rare Fjordland crested penguin, which also put in an appearance. It really felt like our lucky day! As well as the wildlife the Doubtful sound was a lovely place. Cruising through the serene waters full of waterfalls and 360 degree scenery was just an experience in itself.

The next day we hiked part of the Kelper Track – a very popular 3 day hike up in the mountains. We opted for just walking the very first part of the track as the weather wasn’t great that day.
