A cheeky road trip across to the West Coast this weekend. I love the West Coast , it almost feels like a different world to the rest of NZ!
The weekend started with a walk along the Cape Foulwind Walkway (great name, I know!) This walkway is popular for watching the seal colony all the way along the coast. Not many seals around this weekend but a lovely walk non the less.
The next day was spent walking the Charming Creek Walkway. Another great walk and very unique! This walkway follows the old train tracks from the old mining days. Along the way we saw old abandoned train carriages, swing bridges, waterfalls and walked through the old tunnels used when the railway was in working order.
We stayed in a PSA bach in Carters Beach, a great little seaside town perfect for getting away from it all and switching off.
