I didn’t think it would be any use doing birthday celebrations by half measure seeing as it’s my big three oh this year! We went up to Hanmer for the day where we just had to have a go on the high powered jet boat ride! We booked our tickets on Book Me and managed to get 50% off the ticket price and it turned out we were the only people booked in at that time so we had the whole boat to ourselves. The ride was great fun! 100km/hour speeds with 360 degree spins, driving quite close to the rocks and moving at the last second! The boat went down the Waiau river which provided some great scenery along the way.
