Castle Hill

Basically, stick a load of limestone rocks in the middle of no where and surround them with snow capped mountains and you have yourself a pretty good day out! Rock climbing or walking your way around the formation keeps you occupied for the best part of a day, especially when the sun is out in full force!

On the way back we stopped in Springfield for an old Kiwi classic of Tip Top ice cream! You’ll find it in the local shop with the big Tip Top sign. Portions are very generous!

Head out towards Arthur’s Pass on route 73 (Old West Coast Road) and keep driving until you reach the car park on your left, easy as! Should take around 1 hour 20 mins.
