How does your garden grow… part 2!

We have had a mixture of rain and lots of sunshine in the last month or so, meaning our garden is growing nicely. Our tomatoes and oregano have grown the most. But more importantly our Swan Plant now has teeny tiny caterpillars! There are lots of eggs on the leaves and about 4/5 caterpillars. Mr M put some courgette on the leaves, which is supposed to discourage the caterpillars from eating the plant. The chilli peppers are growing slowly but surely as well as the capsicums.

Yesterday, we spent the afternoon in Motukarara (south of Christchurch) at a Christmas BBQ. The garden was lovely! We spent the day drinking, eating and playing with the dogs! On the way back we planned to stop off in the Port Hills and go for a walk, but after all the wine and food it wasn’t gonna happen! So we took the scenic route home through Governors Bay. The boats on the water and the colour of the ocean reminded me of past holidays in the Med 🙂

I would like to pass this off as our garden, sadly not!
